UNIDENTIFIED

From the corner of the room,

I peeped outside,

Papa got a lady home,

Who looked like a bride,

I questioned “Where’s my mother”

“Who is she?” and “Why is she here?”

Papa answered

“She is now gone forever.”

She stepped forward,

Said “I am your mother”

I retaliated and replied

“You are the witch who gobbled her”

How much ever cruel mum was,

I loved her,

She never kissed me,

She never dropped me to school,

Still I loved her, why?

Because she was my mother.

The new mom in the house,

Even dropped me to school

She gave me hug,

And had no rules.

She was sweet as sugar,

BUT she was a STEP-MOTHER.

The hatred never vanished,

Because I saw Cinderella

I realized,

The new mom only fakes it,

She will torture me later and will

Snatch papa from me with wit.

I wanted to torture her,

Before she did to me.

I opened her cupboard ,

To spill a cup of coffee .

I wanted to spoil her clothes,

Instead I just backed off.

There fell a picture in hurry,

Of papa, hers, and a baby.

The baby who had a birth mark

Just like me.
